WITNESS Presents at the Mobility Shifts Conference
WITNESS Staff will present at two workshops during the conference, taking place at The New School University in New York City. Both take place Saturday, October 15, 2011. With over 100 events and 280 speakers from 21 countries, the week-long event brings together some of the best minds working on innovative projects at the intersection of education, technology, policy, art and advocates.

10am - 12pm: Chris Michael will co-lead a workshop on our new Video Advocacy Planning Toolkit, entitled "A Case Study in Bringing Video Storytelling Training Online to Create Change." His co-presenter is Adam Rassmussen from UX Interactive, the firm who designed and developed the Toolkit with WITNESS.

2:30-4:30pm: Sam Gregory will co-lead "Bring Your Smartphone! Witnessing Literacies, Witnessing Tools" with Nathan Freitas of the Guardian Project. The discussion will be literacies and tools-focused, looking at the key ethical groundings, as well as the practical dilemmas, concepts and practices surrounding the rise of ubiquitous mobile video and image capture, specifically as it applies to human rights. They will discuss the SecureSmartCam project.
WITNESS presents a fine art print edition with internationally renowned visual artists.
