 ARTIST: Breuning and Orkeny

BIOS: Olaf Breuning was born in Switzerland. Working primarily with installation, video, and photography, his work draws from advertising, television and music videos. Breuning combines odd images and references from contemporary culture to explore the ways in which visual and behavioral codes bring people together. His work has been exhibited in prominent venues, such as: Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Houston; S:M:A:K:, Museum of Contemporary Art, Ghent; Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki; Swiss Institute, New York; and Palais Tokyo, Paris. He lives and works in New York and Zurich.

Ivan Orkeny was born in Hungary. A recent MFA graduate of Columbia University, his animation, installations, and digital works explore the relationship between the perception of historical knowledge and architectural memory. Orkeny is currently collaborating with Alexander White on a large-scale multimedia piece that involves various 3D, and 2D applications and inventive animation techniques. His work has been exhibited in venues such as: Kunsthochschule Kassel, Germany; LeRoy NeimanGallery, New York; and WRO05 International Media Art Biennale, Poland. He lives in New York.
