WITNESS is pleased to announce Artists Support www.witness.org. The project, founded and curated by artist Izhar Patkin (who is also a WITNESS board member), is a fine art print edition with internationally known visual artists such as Shirin Neshat, Sebastiao Salgado, William Wegman and Patkin.

The project promotes awareness of the WITNESS website as a global meeting place for people interested in promoting human rights and supports its work deploying video and technology to human rights defenders around the globe. Each image in this print portfolio is a collaboration between two artists born in different countries.
"At a time when there is so much conflict around the world," said Peter Gabriel, "it is gratifying to see artists from different cultures and with different religious backgrounds collaborating to bring about change."
Artists Support www.witness.org is an on going project, as more artists are donating their support to the portfolio. The first two prints were unveiled at FIAC 2005, the international art fair in Paris, and four prints were premiered in the U.S. at the first annual WITNESS benefit dinner "Focus For Change," hosted by Angelina Jolie, December 5, 2005 in New York City.
