On-the-ground Training

$15,000 can support an intensive on-the-ground training, where activists learn how to film, edit, and get their videos seen by the people who have the ability to create change. These trainings help activists amplify their organizations’ work – just see the quotes from previous participants on the right.

$10,000 could enable WITNESS to make our Video Advocacy Toolkit available in a new language, reaching exponentially more people. Your contribution would help cover costs of translation, formatting, and a developer’s time.

Artists Support WITNESS

$5,000 can fund a customized camera package for activists in crisis situations. Many activists are currently using their mobile phones to film - and as a result, are forced to put themselves in harms way by moving closer to document abuses. This camera package contains equipment like HD cameras, zoom lenses and wireless microphones, which allow activists to film from a safe distance.

$1,000 can sponsor a Human Rights Defender to attend a WITNESS video advocacy training. These trainings equip activist with the tools and knowledge to film, edit and distribute their advocacy videos to ultimately create impact.
