Video for Change Best Practices

These tips have been created to provide activists on the ground, with filming guidance that will improve the likelihood that their videos will be used by media, human rights organizations and as evidence in the future. The best practices will also help serve to protect the safety and security of those involved in the filming process. They were developed with the support of video activists on the ground. We have integrated their hands-on experience along with WITNESS’ methodology and have come up with a unique selection of tips below that will help guide activists and citizen journalists while filming.
