Oscar nods for Peter Gabriel and other friends of WITNESS
Jan 22: Peter Gabriel received an Oscar nomination for Best Song for "Down to Earth" from the animated film Wall-E. Two friends of WITNESS are on the Documentary Feature list.
"The Betrayal (Nerakhoon)" by Ellen Kuras and Thavi Phrasavath was on the finalist list for the WITNESS Award at Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival 2008. And long-time supporter and collaborator with WITNESS, Tia Lessin and Carl Deal are nominated for "Trouble the Water".
