Part 4: Filming Tips

This 2-minute video is part #4 of the 5-part "How to Film Protests" series. It covers the most important filming technique tips. These include: Focus on good audio and good video.
 
For good video, keep the camera stable--use a monopod, tripod, brace, or posture as described in this video. Don't pan to fit everything in; choose a shot, and film it for at least 10 seconds before moving to the next shot. Don't zoom; if it's safe and possible, move closer.
 
For good audio, use an external microphone if possible. If that's not possible, move as close as is safe to the source of the sound. If you're using a mobile phone, cup your hands around the receiver to exclude unwanted intrusive noise.
