Forced Evictions in Venezuela and Strategies of Resistance: A WITNESS Interview from WSF 2011

In this interview - one more from our WSF 2011 series in Dakar - Elizabeth Santos of the Red Metropolitana de Inquilinos y Movimientos Sociales de Caracas talks about the different tactics this network has used to resist and fight forced evictions in Venezuela, from advocacy aimed at passing stronger legislation to protect families at risk of eviction to a SMS-network of rapid solidarity that alerts activists about imminent evictions and invites them to form a human chain around the house of a family being evicted unjustly.
