Testify! Voices for Human Rights in the U.S.

In 2010, people throughout the U.S. spoke out on human rights issues in their communities as part of the United Nation's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) [ http://www.ushrnetwork.org/campaigns_upr ]. Through the Testify! Project [ http://ushrnetwork.org/testify/ ] recorded video testimonies were gathered and added to the written reports to the UN and testimonials given before U.S. government officials.

This video is a compilation of the short videos submitted from across the country provide a glimpse into contemporary human rights struggles within the U.S. Activists speak about police brutality, racism discrimination, profiling, torture, exploitation, health care, housing and indigenous rights.
