Interview Series: What is a forced eviction?

This video series features excerpts from interviews recorded during the seminar "Urban Impacts and Human Rights Violations in Sports Mega-Events," held in November 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Organized by the UN Special Rapporteur for Adequate Housing, Raquel Rolnik, along with the University of São Paulo, the seminar brought together Brazilian activists and international experts from other global cities that have experienced forced evictions due to major sporting events like the World Cup and the Olympics.
In the rest of the series, we hear the stories of activists from São Paulo, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre and Manaus.
