Elinor Tappé is a business leader with 25 years of experience in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. By leveraging her unique background, Elinor incorporates entrepreneurial, market-disruptive solutions with metrics-driven decision making to deepen and diversify philanthropic audiences. Her expertise ranges from drafting strategic development and marketing plans, recruiting and mentoring teams, to professionalizing development operations in order to facilitate long-term goals. Those goals are typically tied to financial sustainability for the organizations she serves.
In her most recent role as Chief Development Officer at Urban Teachers, Elinor raised over $9M dollars for the organization and helped achieve strategic organization-wide goals. Prior to Urban Teachers, Elinor was the CDO at Larkin Street Youth Services, a nonprofit that assists young people experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. She was previously the Senior Director of Development and Director of The Berkeley Network for University of California, Berkeley. In the corporate sector, Elinor worked in NYC for nearly two decades in senior leadership roles in the advertising sector, specifically throughout the supply chain in both paper and print.
Elinor is a mother of two grown children and lives in Philadelphia with her partner.
