Thank you for your interest in becoming a WITNESS partner. WITNESS equips, trains and supports partners to use video in human rights documentation and advocacy. We act as advisors, collaborators, and facilitators rather than funders.
We look for collaborations involving specific campaign opportunities where video can play a critical role in helping to tip the balance between success and failure, as well as situations where a group is looking to build a long-term capacity to use video effectively.
Below you will find specific information regarding the WITNESS partnership application process:
- Introduction to Partnership
PDF only
- Letter of Interest
PDF (51.95 KB) or Word format (89 KB)
- Application Guidelines
PDF only
- Evaluation Criteria for Partnership
PDF only (52.43 KB)
- Application for Partnership
PDF (74.59 KB) or Word format (765 KB)
- Terms and Conditions Agreement

Unless we have a specific Call for Applications, we accept applications on a rolling basis.
Before submitting the Letter of Interest, please be sure to review the Application Guidelines and Application Evaluation Criteria above carefully to determine whether your organization is a good fit.
Please also bear in mind that this is a two-step process consisting of the Letter of Interest and the Application. Upon reviewing applicants’ Letters of Interest, WITNESS contacts all organizations to let them know whether they should proceed to the Application stage.
Please write to partners@witness.org with any questions. Again, thank you for your interest in WITNESS.
An update about short-term trainings: As part of a new organizational direction (as of Spring 2010), WITNESS will shift from
conducting hands-on short-term training activities to focus on a more scalable
model, with an
expanded focus on online training and training-of-trainers. Will we be updating this section soon.
