We are pleased to announce "Good Fortune" as the 2009 WITNESS Award in Memory of Joey R.B. Lozano at SILVERDOCS 2009. The film examines two multi-million dollar international aid projects in Africa that may actually be undermining the very communities they seek to help. The WITNESS Award is given to the strongest documentary about human rights violations or social justice issues that is accompanied by a strong outreach plan. SILVERDOCS is the premiere documentary film festival in United States and WITNESS is proud to have partnered with them for the third year in a row.
