Huey Shin Choo, Program Coordinator – Asia-Pacific

Huey Shin is the Program Coordinator for WITNESS’ Asia-Pacific regional team based in Malaysia. In her role, she supports activists and grassroots communities in using video and technology to advocate for human rights safely and strategically.

Before joining WITNESS, she was the Program Manager for Freedom Film Network. There, she worked on their five-year project, Social Films for Social Change, where she managed the annual international film festival FreedomFilmFest, started the first social film archive in Malaysia, Arkib Filem Rakyat, and coordinated their civil society support in using social films.
