Leandro Ramos, Director, Global Programs

Leandro Ramos is the Global Programs Director at WITNESS, where he leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of our programmatic initiatives, and manages the team responsible for executing these strategies around the world.

With a background as a journalist and activist, Leandro has nearly two decades of experience in campaigning and communications. Prior to joining WITNESS, he served as the Program Director at Greenpeace Brasil, where he led the organization’s Campaigns, Communications, Legal, and Political teams. Before that, he spent ten years with All Out, an international organization utilizing technology to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights globally. During his tenure at All Out, he collaborated with grassroots activists on local campaigns and training programs in various countries. Additionally, he worked as a communications consultant for Human Rights Watch in Brazil.

Leandro holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from the University of Brasilia, an MBA in Leadership, Innovation & Management from PUCRS, and has completed post-graduate studies in Contemporary Latin American Studies at the University of Chile.

He is currently based in São Paulo, Brazil.
