Nicole Wong Nicole Wong specializes in assisting high-growth technology companies to develop international privacy, content, and regulatory strategies. She previously served as Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer in the Obama Administration, focused on internet, privacy, and innovation policy. Prior to her time in government, Nicole was Google’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, and Twitter’s Legal Director for Products. She frequently speaks on issues related to law and technology, including five appearances before the U.S. Congress.  Nicole chairs the board of Friends of Global Voices, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting citizen and online media projects globally. She also sits on the boards of the Filecoin Foundation, an independent organization that stewards the growth of Filecoin and related technologies for a decentralized web; the Mozilla Foundation, which promotes the open internet; and The Markup, a non-profit investigative news organization covering technology. She currently serves as co-chair of the Digital Freedom Forum, and as an an advisor to the AI Now Institute, the Albright Stonebridge Group, the Alliance for Securing Democracy, Luminate, Refactor Capital, and WITNESS.

Rebecca Lichtenfeld is a Brooklyn-based human rights advocate, producer, and Director of Social Impact Media for the Bertha Foundation. The Bertha Foundation connects activists, storytellers, and lawyers to fight for fundamental social and economic change. Guided by the belief that media and the arts can play a vital role in the advancement of human rights, Rebecca has created, produced, and executed “creative advocacy” projects involving filmmakers, artists, heads of state, and thought leaders from around the globe. At Bertha, she has supported the production and outreach of over 200 films, including several Oscar winning and nominated feature length documentaries.

Brown Johnson Brown Johnson is a visionary and innovator in the world of children’s entertainment. Nickelodeon’s ground-breaking pre-school block, Nick Jr. is her brainchild. She is responsible for producing hundreds of hours of high-quality, diverse, interactive, educational programing—and for changing the way kids watch TV. One of her projects, Dora the Explorer, introduced the first-ever bi-lingual, Latina lead character in children’s television. Brown ran Nickelodeon’s Animation Studio in Burbank, simultaneously producing shows in five countries. Brown’s work has won 3 Peabody Awards. She has also been recognized multiple times by the NAACP, The Imagen Foundation, the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), ASIFA (the International Animated Film Society, and the Academy of Television, both here and abroad. She is passionate about building diversity into business. As a master storyteller, she is lending her expertise so that stories can be used as a tool for justice. 09 Jan Steve Grove

Steve Grove, Director of Partnerships, Google+ Steve leads Google’s efforts to grow Google+ through partnerships with influential organizations, media companies, brands, and public figures. Previously he built the news and politics division of YouTube, including CitizenTube, a channel that curates and promotes citizen-generated news clips. He launched the award-winning CNN/YouTube Debates, the first-ever web-to-TV political debates in which candidates answered questions submitted by users, and in 2010 he hosted the first-ever social media interview with President Obama. Grove also started YouTube's nonprofit program, which allows charity organizations to harness the platform for their causes. He is a Truman National Security Fellow and a member of the Advisory Board of Witness, a video human rights nonprofit.
