As a Financial Coordinator, he plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial documentation, maintaining audit-ready records, booking revenue and grant entries, and managing bank reconciliations. His work strengthens the organization’s fiscal accountability and transparency—core elements in empowering human rights advocates with the tools they need to create change. Before joining WITNESS, Maxwell built a strong background in accounting and financial operations across multiple sectors and platforms. At Deel, he managed global expense reimbursements and vendor payments, spearheaded monthly reconciliations, and collaborated with product teams to ensure financial compliance. At Creion Limited, a SaaS startup, he led end-to-end revenue operations, streamlined reconciliation processes through automation, and oversaw month-end close procedures under US GAAP. Maxwell also held positions at IKERN & Associates and Mazars, where he gained deep experience in inventory accounting, IFRS and GAAP reporting, audit preparation, and system implementation. Leah Bakoulis, Development Assistant  Leah Bakoulis joined WITNESS in 2024, and supports individual and institutional fundraising across the Development team. She is passionate about advancing equity and empowering storytellers around the world. Prior to joining WITNESS, Leah worked in fundraising for various youth causes and nonprofit organizations. She holds a BA in Politics & International Relations, and is based in the United States.

Kartika Pratiwi, Program Lead, Asia-Pacific Kartika Pratiwi (she/her/hers) is an activist and communications strategist with over a decade of experience using visual storytelling and alternative media for social change. As Program Lead for Asia and the Pacific at WITNESS, she supports activists, documenters, and grassroots communities in using video and technology safely and strategically to defend human rights, with a focus on cross-regional solidarity. Prior to WITNESS, she worked as Deputy Manager of Learning and Development at Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR), supporting institutional learning, fundraising, and communications across country teams in Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and the Pacific. She led the development of secure communications systems, produced digital storytelling content, and managed donor relationships. She also served as Program Manager at EngageMedia, focusing on capacity-building, media production, and the use of open technology and digital security for activists and independent filmmakers across Asia and the Pacific. She is also the co-founder of kotakhitam Forum, a collective exploring Indonesia’s political violence and historical memory through film and education. Anneke Victorica, Senior Global People Partner, United States Anneke is WITNESS’ Senior Global People Partner, where she leads on designing and implementing strategy, policies and process to foster an impactful, equitable and connected workplace for a diverse, global team. table employee experience across continents. She leads efforts to align global HR policies, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and global employment with WITNESS’ mission and values–navigating the intersection of strategy, compliance and culture. Anneke works closely with staff at all levels and is passionate about cultivating a collaborative, values-driven workplace where everyone can do their best work in service of WITNESS’ mission. Before joining WITNESS, Anneke consulted for various nonprofit organizations around HR, people and culture-focused projects, focusing on high-impact, values-driven strategies and approaches for remote teams. Previously she was the People Lead at The Engine Room, where she oversaw the design and implementation of all HR projects and initiatives for a diverse, global team. Natalie Hornos, Program Manager, Brazil  Natalie Lima Hornos is the Program Manager at WITNESS Brazil since 2024, where she leads programmatic fieldwork, including training programs for traditional and indigenous communities, and police violence topics.  Her performance of more than 15 years connects the intersection of community communication, human rights, and popular education. She brings extensive experience coordinating socio-educational projects, educommunication, and community-based media. Her practice merges programmatic management, educational planning, training in territory and land defense, and audiovisual production to advance social transformation. Before joining WITNESS, Natalie led different programs and projects for various third-sector organizations in Brazil, designing education in communication programs and audiovisual sovereignty projects for rural and urban communities. Her work spans youth training in rural Brazil and across Latin America, including her coordination of UNICEF’s Call to Solution (2022), an internationally award-winning climate justice initiative. It also has broad experience in audiovisual and editorial production. In De Olho nos Ruralistas - Agrobusiness Watch in Brazil, she directed documentaries exposing agrarian conflicts, forged social movement partnerships, and produced audiovisual and social media contents that amplified grassroots resistance.
